POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager is to direct the day-to-day activities and assign tasks as necessary for the maintenance team to ensure machinery, equipment and facilities are maintained. Foster Continuous Improvement in processes and among th. You will also be expected to assist production management in the maintenance, training, and operation of this equipment. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all activities/persons associated with the direction and support of maintenance functions at a given location.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities within an organization. Responsible for managing a team of maintenance personnel, developing maintenance schedules, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Manager also coordinates preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs while maintaining records of all activities.
Key responsibilities include the planning and execution of regular preventative maintenance to keep systems and equipment running smoothly, supervising and training maintenance staff to ensure high performance, managing budgets for maintenance activities and ensuring cost-effectiveness and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role will also identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs and be responsible for project management of facility renovations and improvements.
A focus on continuous improvement is crucial, as the Maintenance Manager must drive initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, control cost, and increase operational efficiency. This involves analyzing equipment performance, leading structured problem solving, and optimizing maintenance strategies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate Degree in Industrial Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
Experience:
5+ years in electrical/plumbing environment, required.
5+ years of management experience leading maintenance/technical teams
Licenses or Certifications:
Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, preferred.
Driver’s License

Schedule Expectations:
On-call with other employees to respond to system alarms.
Will include response to issues on weekends and holidays.

Job Functions
Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals. Internally audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, training programs
Manage PMs, work orders and general asset registrations in the facility’s CMMS
Collaborate with other managers to remain up to date with system needs and deliver actionable solutions to problems
Oversee wastewater treatment plant operation and compliance in partnership with the company’s wastewater operator
Follow weekly, monthly, and as-needed checklists for routine system maintenance.
Plan and assist general maintenance associated with the fish production systems and support equipment.
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise the intallation and relocation of equipment
Rebuild, refurbish, and modernize old or obsolete machinery, processes, or technnology.
Trouble shoot, test, adjust. and repair equipment.
Develop, learn, and train others in the operaton of all types of mechanical equipment and processes.
Comply to and enforce all EHS policies as required to maintain compliance and ensure a safe workplace.
Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
Monitor and review the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Share information with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, in email, or in person.
Continually update Farm Manager on new technologies, new equipment, and new processes that improve business operations.
Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Create and monitor department budgets for areas under his/her supervision.
